Sorry mate did not mean to ignore you, I often don't realise I have a PM.
Don't really have any problems, just do the usual, not too deep (but happy to let it splash up and over the bonnet), don't stop in the middle and always carry some wd40 and a rag. I have a slightly modified air filter intake which is designed for cooler air not to stop water. On the last trip I did find mud on the actual air filter, but only on the outside of the air filter, it did not reach the carby. So I obviously have a good seal around the air filter in the air box. Some of the trips I have done people have got a little wet but always solved it with the rag and wd40.
Hope this helps.
Subaruby - I finally got rid of that vibration. It wasn't the front left tyre, actually I don't know what it was. This is what I did on saturday - swapped the front left tyre, drove to bendigo with pesky vibration, went 4wd'n all day with a few "stuck in the mud" moments revving hard trying to cradle my way out. Later that night cruising down the new freeway I realised I didn't have the vibration! Sweet. And my car's covered in mud again...
